Wisdom Teeth Removal: When Should I Have Them Removed?

Wisdom Teeth Removal: When Should I Have Them Removed?

Do you want to know if you should get wisdom teeth removed?

Wisdom teeth are those extra molars that come in at around age 16. If you don't remove them, they can cause problems such as jaw pain, gum disease, tooth decay, and even impacted wisdom teeth.

In this article, I'm going to talk about

1. Because they're causing pain

Wisdom teeth are those last two molars that grow in the back of your mouth. They usually erupt between 16 and 25 years old, but some people have them come in early or late. The reason they cause pain is because they push against the roots of the upper teeth, which causes pressure and irritation.

2. Because they could be impacted

Impacted wisdom teeth are those that don't fully emerge from their sockets. If this happens, they can become infected and cause serious problems like abscesses, swelling, and even loss of bone.

3. Because they could be cysts

Cysts are fluid-filled sacs that form around the tooth. They can be caused by trauma, infection, or genetics. Cysts can also lead to tooth decay and gum disease.
